Departing Edinburgh on your luxury tour we head for the Three Bridges on the Firth of Forth. We will take the time for a photo opportunity and the stunning views over the Forth Bridge. From there, we cross via the Queensferry Crossing bridge into the Kingdom of Fife. The Kingdom has its regal status due to the Earl of Fife, head of Clan MacDuff. He bore the honour of placing the crown on the King or Queen of Scot's. We head along beautiful coastline through many historic fishing villages. Each has their own story, which your guide will tell you on route to our next stop.
We will arrive in the picturesque fishing harbour town of Anstruther (locally known as "Ainster"). Here you may walk along the historic harbour and take the time for some rest and refreshments.
From there, it is only a short hop around the coast - the East Neuk of Fife - to our main highlight of St Andrews. A beautiful walled town soaked in fascinating history and intriguing culture. You will have 3 hours to explore the town's many sights and attractions at your leisure. Options include the Cathedral, the Castle, a walk along the Old Course, and many other attractions. There are also plenty of choices for food and drink.
After St Andrews, we make our way westward toward the picturesque garden village of Falkland. Falkland is situated on the hillside beneath East Lomond. Falkland is home to an incredible palace belonging to the Stuart dynasty. A country hunting lodge, the palace contains beautiful ornamental gardens and one of the oldest tennis courts in the world. Mary Queen of Scots is said to have played many times here. You have the option of taking a palace tour or if you would prefer the village itself has many interesting and notable points to explore.
From Falkland we are homeward-bound via the scenic route. Once again we can stop at your leisure along the way.
Back in Edinburgh we will drop you at your accommodation or elsewhere if you prefer.
We do not say farewell - rather, haste ye back!
