Departing on your Loch Ness Day Trip from Edinburgh, we head west and make for the Scottish Highlands. We travel through the Trossachs National Park and stop at our first loch of the day, Loch Lubnaig. Here, there are restrooms, refreshments, and incredible views over the loch and surrounding mountains.

We continue onward and along the way you will take in the epic scenery. There are many historic castles, picturesque glens and tranquil lochs en route to the majestic sights of Glencoe.

You will be travelling on one of the most beautiful roads in the world. We will travel through the famous glen, past the Three Sisters of Glencoe, making stops at your leisure.

We will make an extended stop at the Glencoe Visitor Centre. Here, there is a wealth of info on the glen, it's geology, & mountaineering history. There are also various engaging exhibitions and a chance for some rest and refreshments (the cakes are divine!).

After Glencoe, we make for Loch Ness via more incredible scenery and arrive just in time for lunch. We make our lunch stop in the historic village of Fort Augustus. Home to a beautiful lock gate, it also has lots of quaint cafe's and shops with plenty of options for rest and refreshments. The village sits on the southerly tip of Loch Ness. There are epic views right up the loch into the distance. One can enjoy a boat tour on Loch Ness which lasts approx. 1 hour and has guides on board. They will entertain you with the stories and folklore of the mysterious loch and know all the best spots to see Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster. Helpfully, there is also a bar onboard!

Upon leaving Fort Augustus we head back via a different route and new scenery. We will head for Highland Perthshire via the beautiful Laggan road, through ancient Caledonian pine forest. We will be in Creag Megaigh nature reserve with epic views of the Cairngorm Plateau

There are a variety of stops along the way. Your guide with tailor them to your interests and desires. We can make extended stops in a number of highland towns & villages or shorter stops for views and scenery.

Back in Edinburgh we will drop you at your accommodation or elsewhere if you prefer.
